Congratulations Barack Obama and America on this historic occasion. As of noon, EST today, Obama is officially the president of the United States. In his own words from his acceptance speech back in November, "a new era of American politics" begins today. We look forward with anticipation, and wish the best of luck and wisdom to the new President as he tackles the difficulties of today's world.
I think it went well on a whole minus that atrocious poem and the ancient pastor he reminded us it is the time for "yellah to be mellah"
And Roberts forgetting the oath. :-P I didn't see much after Obama's speech until the motorcade but I've heard mixed reports about that benediction.
Roberts' issues with the oath were... somewhat troubling. But, then again, I guess it happens.
I was amused when the rednecks asked me if, because Roberts fumbled through the oath, Obama was technically our President. Lol.

Obama was our president before he took the oath, and would have been even if he didn't take the oath, since it was after noon.
Yes, I know that. Did you misunderstand me? Other people asked me that.
