What would you do...

What would you do if you knew three days in advance that the stock market would fall 7000 points?  Reinvest?  Buy something really expensive?

What would you do if you knew that a week later, the entire global economy would crash, halting innovation and causing prices to skyrocket?

What would you do if you knew that two months later, you'd be drafted?

This isn't based on a real scenario, but I think what people do in crises reveals a lot about them, and I thought it was relevant since we have this recession going on.

3 Days - Start selling off all of the stock I own, to get the highest prices I could.

1 Week - After the crash, when prices fell momentarily, I'd start buying all of the necessary goods that I could.

2 Months - Enlist in the Navy as soon as possible, to avoid drafting in the Marines/Army, and try to get a job in Naval Intelligence before the market was flooded with other draftees. By enlisting early you would also be more likely to get a higher rank, at least with a college degree.

Good topic.

3 days - I'd move my assets to a blue-chip that I thought would survive the crash, take out any cash I'd need immediately, and wait for a few years until the market came back.

1 week - buy anything I need while prices are low.  Launch a new company when prices are high that sells low-priced items, if possible.

2 months - move to Israel, or maybe enlist in the air force or navy to work in I.T.
