Hello all,

BabelUp is currently in the middle of a transition to a new format. In preparation for this transition, we've upgraded the software that supports this site. As a result, there will be some things that don't work or look out of place or are missing. Please bear with us as we move forward with the site upgrades.

You may have noticed that comments in some areas of the site look a little strange or have ceased to appear.  We're sorry about that, and we're looking into it.  We're planning an important site upgrade in a week or two and these problems should be gone by then.  Thanks for your patience.

BabelUp is introducing Profile Decos!  Decos are little images you can "buy" with BabelPoints.  You can add your own decos or buy existing ones in the gallery, accessible via the "Profile Decos" link on the Welcome menu on the left for registered users.  We hope you enjoy this application--we've put a lot of time and effort into it.  Just a little incentive to start working on those BabelPoints!

During the last few hours, BabelUp was inaccessible.  Sorry about that.  There were complications outside of our control involving a malicious German guy.  Anyway, everything should be fixed now.

There's now a new way to post other pages to BabelUp!

Just right-click this link (BabelBlog) and choose "Add to Favorites" on Internet Explorer or "Bookmark This Link" on Firefox, then click the bookmark when you're on a page you want to write about. A new page or tab will open with BabelUp's "Add new blog entry" page, with the title already filled out and the URL in the content area. In some browsers, text you had selected will be quoted in the content area.
